Falooda with Ice Cream

When I had just gotten my braces on, I was in pain. My mouth was hurting badly so my grandma had a quick solution to make my day better. Falooda-the solution-is a sweet and cold drink topped with vanilla ice cream. 


Recipe: 

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • ½ gallon whole milk

  • ½ cup tukmaria seeds (similar to chia seeds)

  • roasted vermicelli

  • 8 teaspoon Kalvert’s rose syrup

  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream

  • 2 cups water

Method:

  1. Soak tukmaria seeds in water for 20-30 minutes 

  2. Then cook the vermicelli by boiling in water (add more or less depends on your liking) 

  3. Once vermicelli comes to a boil you can strain and out in a container

  4. Now fill up 8 oz of milk in a glass 

  5. Add 2 teaspoons of rose syrup

  6. Add vermicelli and tukmaria seeds to the drink

  7. Top with drink with one scoop of vanilla ice cream

Preparation time:

  • 30 minutes 

Serving Instruction:

  • Serve chilled
