Paneer Tikka Masala is a popular North Indian dish that is found at any restaurant or home. It is one of my favorite comfort foods to eat! With the many tastes and flavors it just melts in your mouth!
Recipe:
Ingredients (Serves 5)
1 & 1/2 cup paneer or tofu
1 & 1/2 tablespoonful unsalted butter
1 & 1/3 tablespoonful blended garlic
3/4 tablespoonful blended ginger
1/2 finely diced onion
4 small Roma tomatoes puréed
3-4 cashews (optional)
3/4 teaspoonful salt
1/2 teaspoonful Garam masala
1/2 teaspoonful coriander powder
3/4 teaspoonful cumin powder
3/4 teaspoonful turmeric powder
3/4 teaspoonful red chili powder
1/2 teaspoonful Kashmiri chili powder
1 cup water
1 & 1/2 teaspoonful dried fenugreek leaves (Kasoori methi)
6 & 1/2 teaspoonful heavy cream
Cilantro (garnish)
Method:
In a pot, place butter until medium heat.
Once butter melted then place onions for 2 minutes.
Then add garlic and ginger.
Add puréed tomatoes, cashews, and all spices.
Stir for about 2 minutes and then add water and cook for 15 minutes.
Continue stirring every 3-4 minutes and add more water if evaporated.
Now, use a handheld blender and mix until a uniform texture.
Then add in paneer cubes, dried fenugreek leaves, and heavy cream.
Cook under medium heat for 5 minutes.
You may also add sugar if it tastes too acidic.
Garnish with cilantro and serve.
